Ten Best Films of 2012
2012 has been an amazing year for the film industry. Amazing films have been released  that have been critical and/or box office hit's. I will now list my personal list of the best films of the year, 2012. Keep in mind, some films that received lower grades may be ranked higher than films that received high grades, and this is truly just on my preference.

1.
Silver Linings Playbook
Picture
David O Russell has crafted the best film of the year. Featuring
greatlead performances from Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, and a stellar
supporting cast,Silver Linings Playbook balances the mental health comedy, and romantic drama
extremelywell, and deserves to be celebrated as the Best Picture of The Year.
2.

Argo
Picture
An intense and dramatic thriller, that tells the story of the devastating 1979 Iranian Hostage
Crisis perfectly. The direction, performances, and production design in particular deserve praise,
and Ben Affleck represents himself as truly a great filmmaker
3.
Life of Pi

Picture
Ang Lee has crafted a visual masterpiece in Life of Pi. A film that's story is equally as impressive as its visuals, and a film that reminds you why you go to the movies. It is ambitious, and uses 3D to immerse the viewer in the film. This is a spiritual film, that makes the audience think, and is ambitious and features amazing CGI imagery.
4.
Django Unchained
Picture
A three hour bloody, entertaining thrill ride from Quentin Tarantino
5.

Moonrise Kingdom
Picture
A quirky comedy from Wes Anderson that took my breath away. Moonrise Kingdom is a light hearted and funny film that has an honest story, that pulls on the heartstrings. With amazing performances, direction and (a) screenplay, Moonrise Kingdom is the best comedy of the year
6.
21 Jump Street
Picture
Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill make for a great comedic duo as undercover cops, in this very funny film.
7.
The Hunger Games

Picture
Went in with no expectations, and was blown away. Jennifer Lawrence is phenomenal as Katniss Everdeen, as are Josh Hutcherson, Stanley Tucci, and Elizabeth Banks. A relevant and well executed film, that keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire film
8.
The Dark Knight Rise
s
Picture
An incredible  conclusion to Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy.
9.

The Amazing Spider-Man
Picture
A return to form for the franchise. Superbly acted, and directed. The best Spider-Man film ever.
10.
Skyfall
Picture
Skyfall is filmmaking at its absolute best, and once again proves that a spy/espionage film can be a real crowd pleaser. Skyfall keeps you the edge of your seat, until the end, and when the credits roll, you are amazed that a James Bond film was really that amazing.
Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, Javier Bardem and the rest of the supporting cast are all brilliant
